ALY is open to high school students who will be sophomores or juniors during their time in the program.

How many times does the program meet?

The program meets 15 times throughout the year from September to April.

What if I need to leave early/arrive late?

Your attendance is critical to your learning and the learning of your peers. With this in mind we do our best to plan program days around non-school days or school days that are early release. Your absences do count as excused.

What happens if I miss a day?

Individuals are required to commit to at least 80% attendance throughout the program. We understand that life happens and are happy to work around excused absences, but two unexcused absences will result in a meeting with the Executive Director regarding your continued participation in the program.

Is lunch provided?

Yes! In addition to lunch, snacks are provided throughout the day.

Can Advancing Leadership provide my student with transportation?

State law prohibits us from transporting students to and from program days. We have planned the start and end of program days to allow students to make arrangement for carpooling, taking the activity bus, and getting dropped off and picked up by parents before and after work.
