Read This – It Just May Save A Life!

A South King Fire and Rescue team member instructs on new hands only CPR.

Ten minutes to save a life!

Save a life? Yes. Why? Because we’re announcing the Advancing Leadership Adult (ALA) 2016 Team Project: Save a Life Saturday!

Did you know you can learn “hands only” CPR in as little as 10 minutes? The goal of this project is to get hundreds of people in our city CPR trained and ready to help in an emergency at home, at work, at school, on the court or field – anywhere they go.

ALA ’16 is partnering with South King Fire & Rescue (SKFR) to offer free, fast and lifesaving CPR training on Saturday, June 4th, 10 am – 1 pm at The Commons Mall in Federal Way. One-on-one instruction, as well as take home CPR cards and emergency contact brochures will be available in Korean, Russian, Spanish and English.

In addition to CPR training, attendees can get blood pressure checks, learn about first aid and using an AED, and how to work with Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and the Public Health Reserve Corps (PHRC).  There will be representatives from community resource groups like Multi-Service Center, King County Library System and DESNA Cup, plus a kids’ station and a photo booth.
